Many of you may know this already, because I’m not shy about sharing it – I hate winter! I try to take advantage of it by going skiing once in a while and enjoying those photogenic snowfalls that coat the ground but don’t cause traffic jams or power outages. But really, I just can’t stand it. So when March rolls around, I’m more than ready for warm spring weather… not that we’ve seen any yet here in Boston. But that doesn’t stop me from planning. So if you’re on the hunt for some new patio storage, read on!
Last year when we built our new patio, one thing we overlooked was storage for our new sofa and chair cushions. In between uses we lugged them into the basement to a not-so-conveniently-located shelf, and we vowed to buy an outdoor storage box next season. So when I ran across this resin patio storage box on Wayfair a couple of weeks ago, I quickly snapped it up and gave it a try.
You guys are seriously going to love this storage box. It took about 10 minutes to assemble, and I was impressed with the quality – especially the hydraulic pistons that make it easy to open and close. And here’s the best part… it fit all of our cushions perfectly! You can see how many we have here. This is a very big container; I fit inside it easily (yes I actually hopped inside 🙂 ). I also love that it has a relatively flat top so it could be used as a surface to set food and drinks during a party, or even as extra seating.
It has a place for a padlock which could be handy if you live in a city, and the lid overhangs the edge of the box a bit all the way around which prevents rain from seeping inside.
If you’re looking for patio storage with a different size or finish, Wayfair has hundreds of other options… check them out here.
I can’t wait to try it out with the rest of our patio furniture… so here’s hoping that spring is right around the corner and we can enjoy the lovely scene below very soon!
