When snow started falling in mid November, we decided to turn lemons into lemonade and take advantage of it for our holiday cards. So we dusted off our snow boots and convinced Charlie to dip his paws into the white stuff that he hates so much. Dog holiday cards are hot these days… and he’s way cuter than us anyways 😉 To create and print our cards, we went with Mixbook again; they have so many amazing Christmas card designs that it was hard to choose a favorite… but ultimately we knew we had to go with the gold ampersand design.Â
It took many treats to get the perfect photo for the card… and we did it ourselves, so it also involved a tripod and a remote shutter release. Pro tip: tape the bag of treats to your tripod so your dog looks at the camera. Our neighbors must have thought we were crazy! See outtake below 🙂
Mixbook printed and shipped the cards super quickly, so even if you haven’t done cards yet this year there’s still time! They have lots of great expedited shipping options. And New Year’s cards are becoming a thing, which buys you an extra week.
So go take a peek at their holiday cards and let me know if you have any questions about setting up a photo shoot for dog holiday cards 😉 And in case you missed it, here’s our card from last year.Â
