Begin by staining the triangular wood pennant banner. You can get all of the wooden elements at CraftCuts.com… use coupon code DESIGN10 at checkout for 10% off! Valid now through October 12th, 2022. Dip an old rag in the stain and wipe it on the pennant banner in a circular motion. You’ll probably want to wear protective rubber gloves to avoid getting the stain on your skin (trust me).
While the stain is drying, paint the name with acrylic craft paint. Choose a color that complements the room in which you’ll be hanging the pennant banner. Make sure that the color contrasts enough so that it stands out from the stained wood flag background.
While the paint dries, cut four felt rectangles that are about 2 x 1/2 inch in size. Flip the pennant flag over and attach the rectangles using hot glue.
Glue the name onto the pennant flag using hot glue. Work quickly so the glue doesn’t dry as you’re working.
Cayden seems to like the way it turned out 🙂 If you’re looking for other DIY name and word inspiration, be sure to head over here.
