5 DIY Postcards to Send Love from Afar

Today we have a fun guest post from my friends down south in the Florida Panhandle… I thought you guys would enjoy these colorful (free!) printable postcards that they wanted to share with you. Everybody needs a little snail mail in their life right now, amirite?!

5 Adorable Free Printable Postcards to Send Love from Afar /// Design Fixation #printable #cards #free

What better way to send words of encouragement or brighten someone’s day than with a heartfelt postcard? A postcard with your handwriting is much more personal than a text, FaceTime, or Zoom call after all. Whether you’re writing to say “I wish you were here!” or reminiscing on a favorite memory, sending snail mail is the perfect way to let a loved one know you’re thinking of them.

The best part is you can do-it-yourself from the comfort of your home. Printing postcards makes for a fun DIY activity with your kids, a friend, or your partner. To get started, Florida Panhandle created free printable postcards. Choose your favorite card, download and print, add your message, then send off to your loved ones!

Below are the five card themes to choose from.

While you can’t always hug someone from a long distance, you can send a loving note. This get well soon card is ideal for a loved one that’s under the weather, recovering from a surgery, or as a way to simply brighten their day!

Materials + Directions

Once you pick and download your card, below are the materials you’ll need:

  • Printer
  • Cardstock or printer paper
  • (Optional): Glue
  • (Optional): Cardboard to add sturdiness

You can print the cards double-sided on one page or separately on two pages and glue them together. Cardboard on the back can help add sturdiness to the card for when it’s sent off in the mail.

Don’t be afraid to add your personal touch inside the card — where it matters the most. You can be heartfelt, funny, or romantic depending on the occasion and person in mind. Get creative with your message and don’t forget to download and save the other postcards to send at a later date!

For the couple-to-be or newlyweds, this beachy sunset card is perfect to let the love birds know you are thinking of them. Many weddings were cancelled or put off in 2020, but it doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate their love with a thoughtful card and special gift.
