My little guy recently turned one, and we hosted a little fiesta for him… complete with a taco bar, paper cacti and lots of colorful banners. Keep reading to find out how to throw your own fiesta!
You can make paper cacti if you have a Cricut, and then just “plant” them in terra cotta pots. I put them all over the house! You can also buy similar ones here.
I made all the signs for the taco bar, favors, etc. with my Cricut too, using brightly colored paper and a fun font.
These plates and napkins worked out perfectly… grab them right here.
And I got into cupcake decorating this time around too… have you guys tried it? So fun! I got cake mix for the cupcakes, and a couple of tubs of white frosting which I used food coloring to turn different shades of green. Then I just used the star shaped frosting tip and an icing bag to make the fun designs. And it took way less time than I would have thought… maybe a half hour for 40 cupcakes.
We put these fun colorful banners all over the house… you can get them right on Amazon. And that’s it! We had a blast and have left the paper cacti up all around the house 🙂
