A little taste… and my favorite part of the film. Image via the New York Times. |
My obsession with street art was solidified last weekend when I finally watched Exit Through the Gift Shop, a Banksy film. It’s the story of how an eccentric French shop keeper and amateur film maker tries to find and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner. You’ll see Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Space Invader and many of the world’s most infamous graffiti artists at work.
I think the most valuable thing I took from it was a feeling of motivation to create. To innovate. Take a peek… you won’t regret it. Click here to view the full movie on Hulu for free.
