After three months of white snow and grey skies, my favorite part about visiting the South in the winter is the lush greenery and bright flowers that punctuate the landscape. Isn’t the little guy in the first image adorable? And yes, the blue goo in the last picture is a living thing – they were strewn all over the sand, and are allegedly very dangerous. Luckily I didn’t step on one. Phew.
