I’ve wanted to try making a fabric flower for quite some time, and yesterday I finally did it. I found the original tutorial over on Hey! Jen Renee but I altered the pattern just a bit to include a bobby pin… and voila…. an instant improvement on a regular old ponytail. Here I am modeling my new accessory:

If you’d like to try making your own fabric flower hairpin, follow these instructions and simply loop the remaining thread through the end of a bobby pin a few times. If you enjoy the flowers but aren’t into the whole hairpin thing, hop on over to Creature Comforts for some other uses for fabric flowers.
