Is it raining where you are? Because it rained for two days straight here. And it was so windy outside that my curtains were blowing around even though the windows were closed. So how about a bloody mary? (A virtual one anyway). It’s on me.
The Moose’s pick for this week is Prairie Organic Vodka, and what a good choice it is. Unexpected color combinations are my thing, and this bottle is a good example. Orange, sky blue, and a milky yellow. Unusual, but it works. I’m fairly certain that it’s the diagonal “Prairie” that really puts the icing on the cake. It would be much less dynamic if it went straight across, wouldn’t it?
Whitney over at Brunellos Have More Fun suggests using Prairie Organic Vodka for this recipe:
Bloody Mary by Rachel
- Base: 3 cups beef broth, 1 full container (3 cups) Pomi brand strained tomatoes
- 3 Tbsp worcestershire, 2 Tbsp horseradish, 1 1/2 tsp celery seed, 3 tsp each of salt and black pepper, Cholula or Tapatio (or your fav.) hot sauce to taste.
- 1 oz. vodka per glass
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon and garnish with celery (and pickled okra- Rachel is a big fan)
