{Typeface Tuesday} Thread Type

Peter Crawley’s new work literally took my breath away. Okay, maybe that makes me a type nerd… but I’m okay with that. The combination of typography and textile art is unexpected, but so very apt for this project. I can’t think of any material that would be more perfect for this idea of order versus chaos.

I enjoy the fact that he chose to use the same font, but different treatments to convey his point. He could have easily picked a more fluid, crazy font for the word chaos but instead he used some creative restraint. I think that it is more effective this way.
