Faith’s DIY Halloween Costume Tutorials

I’ll be honest… the older I get, the more I love Halloween. It just seems like the ultimate opportunity to be super creative with an outfit. In public.
The Pumpkin Spice Latte has taken on a persona of its own this fall… either you love it or you hate it. So I thought that it would be the perfect Halloween costume! This look is super easy to DIY, and it’s sure to make people giggle. I created a full photo tutorial on how to make one yourself over at Curbly… check it out here.
Last year I dressed up as a character from one of Lichtenstein’s works of art. The comic book style looks complex, but it actually isn’t difficult to achieve (although it does take a little while to do the makeup!).
Start by painting your face white. Next, use black eyeliner pencil to do the eyebrows, the tear and the outlines on the lips, nose, etc. Then paint red dots on one half of your face, and blue dots on the other half. Last, apply a glossy pinkish-red lip and fill in the tear shape with blue face paint.
For the rest of the outfit… Wear a bright, color-blocked dress and pair it with ankle boots and chunky jewelry.
